NEW LOCATION! Santa Fe Community Convention Center
Saturday, August 17, 6:00pm-9:00pm
One of the most glamorous and popular events of the Santa Fe Indian Market is the Live Auction Gala and Reception. This fundraiser for the Southwestern Association of Indian Arts (SWAIA), the organization that produces the Indian Market, begins with a silent auction and cocktail reception and culminates with the exciting Live Auction dinner.
DON’T MISS OUT! This year, the event will be an encompassing experience, the theme of which is “RISE & REMEMBER: Honoring the Resilience of Native Women.” Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM 1st Congressional District) will be the guest of honor, U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo will do a poetry reading, and Shondien (Sonwai) LaRance will perform hoop dancing. Included in the auction will be hand drums hand-decorated by Haaland, Harjo and other notable Native female artists. Proceeds from the sales of these drums will be shared with The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women in Albuquerque.
Tickets sales for this event have ended.
NEW THIS YEAR: Special $100 tickets available for just the Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction, to be held at the IM:EDGE exhibit in the lobby of the SFCCC. Ticket proceeds will be earmarked for 2021 centennial celebration planning. Entertainment by violinist Laura Ortman.
